My mom has been practicing this song to play for her brother Danny.. who's been terminally ill for several years now but has recently been moved into hospice care. I've always been very close to my family but haven't lived in the same state as them for going on 10 years now. It's surreal and sad to think about all of this from afar. I've always loved this song, but suddenly think of it with more heaviness than before. Life is full of so many twists and turns.
