It is now 90 years since the guns stopped firing on the morning that ended World War I, the war that was supposed to end all wars. After all these years we're still fighting. Thought I would post some interesting stats below as a way of observing Veteran's Day. Let's hope we can end some wars soon!

There are an estimated 24.9 million military veterans in the United States.

1.8 million veterans were female. 16% of which were Gulf War veterans.

2.4 million veterans were African American. Additionally, 1.1 million veterans were Hispanic; 278,000 were Asian; 165,000 were American Indian or Alaska Native; 27,000 were Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander; and 18.7 million were non-Hispanic white.
