Holy crap... this has got to be the lamest thing that Nike has ever done (besides selling a shoe made by children at sweat shops for hundreds of dollars while paying them pennies).. Introducing the Nike Air Native N7, a brand new shoe distributed solely to American Indians in effort to promote physical fitness. Nike designers and researchers looked at the feet of more than 200 people from more than 70 tribes nationwide and found that in general, American Indians have a much wider and taller foot than the average shoe accommodates. The N7 name is a reference to the seventh generation theory, used by some tribes to look to the three generations preceding them for wisdom and the three generations ahead for their legacy.
I'm sorry... but this is completely insulting to me. Besides the fact that I have quite a bit of native american blood.. there are obese kids across the entire country eating too many big macs and playing too many video games. Why not make an athletic shoe for other races and nationalities and make more generalizations? Like a Nike Air Oy Vey! or Nike Gonzalez.. Nike lazy ass Air Americans.. you get the point. Basically you make a shoe based off of a very small research project and make a large generalization and insult people with expensive shoes.
