Last Friday I experienced my first taste of teaching young children about photography and why making photographs is important at the 18th annual career day at an elementary school out in Newark. I got at least a dozen hugs from the students and another dozen wanting to go out and make photos. This photo was snapped during an assembly the kids put together for the career day guests. The kids were ages 4 to 9... they were so happy they were doing flips. It nearly broke my heart (in a good way!!)

There is something special about teaching someone, especially kids about something you are passionate about.
